Here at Taylor Farms we are investing in the future of our business and industry by investing in our employees and the communities where we operate.
We believe in providing future leaders the opportunities and resources to reach their highest potential and lead healthy lives. That is why we support programs dedicated to youth development, such as our annual college scholarship luncheon and partner with Golden State Foods to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies throughout the community.
Our health and wellness initiatives go beyond our business walls. We know healthy foods support healthy minds and we do our part to make food accessibility a reality. Each year we donate 5 million pounds of fresh produce to local food banks and charitable organizations, such as Ag Against Hunger, Brighter Bites, Salvation Army and Weekend Food Security Programs.
In most recent events, as our country continues to come together to fight the spread of COVID-19, Taylor Farms is humbled to have donated 30,000 boxes of fresh produce over the last three weeks to food banks in Monterey County alone.
This past year, Taylor Farms has also embarked on a new journey with Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System and Montage Health to launch the Blue Zones Projects in Monterey County, California. Inspired by the world’s longest-lived cultures, the Blue Zones Project is a well-being initiative designed to unite communities with a common goal of making healthy choices easier. As a fresh foods company, it is our passion is to help people live fuller, healthier lives, not just through our product offerings, but through our actions.
