Happy National Kale Day! Kale is a nutritious, versatile low-calorie, high-fiber leafy green with zero fat! It is a powerful source of vitamins A, C, and K, antioxidants, calcium, and iron, and it’s great for cardiovascular support, detoxifying your body, and cancer prevention. Can you believe all of that comes from one vegetable? This is why kale gets a dedicated day!
We at Taylor Farms love kale and everything you can do with it, so let us give you some options on how to celebrate National Kale Day!
You can use the triple washed Taylor Farms Leafy Kale Greens and Taylor Farms Organic Baby Kale for juicing, sautéing or with any salad recipe.
When you pair kale with spinach you get two nutritional powerhouses in one! Taylor Farms Kale and Spinach and Taylor Farms Organic Baby Kale Medley combine the two in order to bring you an abundance of vitamins and health benefits.
Taylor Farms Get Juicing! Chopped Kale is taking the health world by storm! Simply add your favorite fruits and veggies to our “power greens”. (Might we suggest our Supergreens Re-charge or Going Green recipes?)
We also incorporate the superfood into our chopped salad kits! The Taylor Farms Kale Chopped Salad packs tender kale, shaved Brussels sprouts, and radicchio with Asiago cheese into a bag, topped with a herb crouton crumble and drizzle of lemon vinaigrette. You can satisfy your sweet tooth with Taylor Farms Sweet Kale Chopped Salad. It includes broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale, and chicory, topped with all natural, dried cranberries, roasted pumpkin seeds, and poppyseed dressing.

GRILLED LEMON CHICKEN AND SWEET KALE SALAD
- 1/2 lb. thin cut chicken breasts (about three breasts)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil for brushing
- 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 9oz Taylor Farms Sweet Kale Chopped Salad Kit
Brush the thin cut chicken breasts with extra virgin olive oil on both sides.
Liberally coat the chicken with lemon pepper seasoning on both sides.
Place the chicken breasts on a grill pan over medium high heat. Cook for 2 minutes then flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a cutting board. Cut into 1/2 inch strips.
In a large salad bowl, empty the two packs of Taylor Farms Sweet Kale Chopped Salad. You can either toss the salad with the dressing at this point, or keep it on the side for everyone to drizzle themselves.
Place the chicken strips on top of the salad and sprinkle with the dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds.
