Now that the New Year is settling in, we’ve taken a breath and found the time to look back at 2017 — between groundbreaking innovations, the first of its kind clean energy system, and philanthropic projects, Team Taylor was busy! Our goal each year is to make a lasting positive impact on our communities, and we’re inspired to grow these initiatives in the months ahead.

We are delighted to introduce Taylor Farms’ most proud moments of 2017:

We anticipate 2018 being another exciting year full of milestones. We’re glad to be your choice for salads and healthy fresh foods, and we can’t wait to see what the new year will bring! Share with us your favorite Taylor Farms memories by tagging #GoToGreens on Instagram or Twitter.

  2. Make the Holidays a Little Happier this Season

In true holiday tradition, Team Taylor once again participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County’s (BGC) “Adopt-A-Family” program. This local program touches over 100 local families whose children are BGC attendees.

Each year our team raises money internally and chooses a group of employees to shop for the clothing and toy items that are on each child’s wish list. Taylor Farms “adopted” 7 families this year, providing each child with two outfits, socks, underwear, shoes, a jacket, toys, and books.

Team Taylor also volunteered to wrap additional presents at the Boys and Girls Club to ensure every child in the program had a gift to open on Christmas Day.

We are proud to have been an active participant in this program for the past 10 years, helping to make the holidays a little brighter for local families in need. Learn more about getting involved in Adopt-a-Family here.

  3. Hop on the Spiralizing Train

Now more than ever diners are looking for carb-alternatives when they go out to eat. Taylor Farms has made it easy for its Foodservice customers to hop on the spiralizing train in their restaurants!

With our new Zucchini Noodles, the cumbersome spiralizing is already done for you — all you have to do is incorporate it into a delicious dish on your menu, like the one in this video, and serve. Bon appetit!

  4. Veggies Take Center Stage on the Plate

One of the food trends that we are enjoying right now is replacing heavy carbs with fresh veggies! No longer just a side dish, veggies of all kinds are taking center stage on the plate. One of our favorite adaptations of veggies as the star of the show is when they are spiralized into healthy, delicious noodles.

Taylor Farms Yellow Squash Noodles (available only for Foodservice customers right now) are not only luscious and nutty in flavor, with a hint of natural sweetness, but did you know that one cup of raw, sliced yellow squash contains only 18 calories, is a good source of Vitamin C, and is a powerful antioxidant? That sounds like something you’ll want to add to your menu!

Not sure what to do with this new product? Well, it’s so versatile that it can stand up to endless flavor and sauce combinations, but here’s a quick recipe video to see one of our favorite Yellow Squash Noodle dishes:

    Looks delicious, right?
